The State of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion in STEM: 2021

At STEMconnector, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are central to our mission as we strive to achieve a more diverse, sustainable, and STEM-ready workforce. As part of our commitment to creating greater awareness and adoption for DEI in STEM, we are releasing our latest research report titled: “The State of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion in STEM: 2021”

This report attempts to quantify the current state of DEI in the STEM workforce with supporting data that examines diversity statistics as well as the business case for DEI.

As the first installment in a yearly report on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, this report will focus primarily on gender diversity and racial / ethnic diversity data –– two topics very much in need of discussion. But diversity goes beyond just gender and race. Future reports will also look at other aspects of diversity such as age, (dis)ability, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, and more.
